ABOUT US

Shannon Harvey, an international artist with a background in community and public art, founded Monkey100 to engage the public on important issues.

The inspiration behind the business originated in 2006 with an installation called Bag Habit. Shannon collected over a hundred plastic bags from Vancouver residents and sewed them together; they represented the number of bags used by one Canadian in just four months. Her research for the project led her to think about climate change and what she could do as an artist. With t-shirts as her canvas, she launched the Fossil Fuel series.

Through t-shirt design, cards and community action Monkey100 seeks to inspire and be part of the movement for a better world.
