WE could BE HEROES

This series was inspired by courageous women who, often in the face of great odds, work tirelessly against injustice.  They are leaders in the human drive to live more heroic lives.

Black Lives Matter Opal Tometti, Alicia Garza and Patrisse Cullors were early leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States. The movement seeks to shine a light on the racism and systemic injustice that people of color face throughout the world.

She won a landmark court case against the government showing that longstanding inadequate government funding discriminated against 163,000 First Nation children on reserves, jeopardizing their chances to thrive.

Alexandra Morton is a biologist and activist living in British Columbia, Canada. Her work has been instrumental in raising awareness about the dangers of fish farms and the importance of protecting and securing the wild stocks of salmon along the coast.
